Gaggeldub Video Art
With a solar powered video projector and a camera Gaggeldub is creating an interactive VJ show
with live video feedback mandalas to participate.
Video Feedback
If microphone and speakers come too close, this can cause a whistling and screeching feedback. The
situation is quite different from video cameras which film the screen that shows the picture just taken,
producing esthetic fractals such as snowflakes. If camera or screen are tilted, arising spirals found in the
extreme center feedback: a bright white point (like the whistling sound) - depending on the zoom bigger or
smaller expanding. By playing with exposure and colors there are produced impressive video effects, where
no PC is involved.
Light Painting
Light Painting or Light Writing is a photographic technique in which images are taken usually at night or in
darkened rooms by the movement of one (or several) in the hand-held light sources (or by motion of the
camera). For the Light Painting are much longer shutter times used than normal. The light is kept in the
direction of the camera during the exposure and move to create shapes or lines. Conversely, often the
camera is moved in certain directions, to create by changing the position of the stationary light sources in
the frame lines.
